Russia was not the only place to see a unexpected object in the sky Friday, this sighting was captured in the San Francisco Bay Area on a dashcam just after 7:30 Friday Feb 15, 2013.
According to various Twitter posts, people started seeing a blue object flash across the sky around 8 p.m.
T. Kyle MacMahon tweeted "So everyone has dash cams now? RT @BuzzFeedNews : Meteor caught on video tonight in San Francisco at 7:44pm"
ABC15 Chief Meteorologist Amber Sullins said the last meteor seen in San Francisco was this past October.
It was the size of a car and broke apart as it entered the atmosphere.
