Captain Poggi is a senior 747 captain for Alitalia. When flying from Rome to Sao Paolo in July of 1999, he witnessed a glowing green halo traveling just 500 feet below his 747.
He had a second sighting while flying over Turin, Italy in 1992. He saw a distant elliptical sphere maintaining a very steady position relative to the clouds as if were hovering.
